Monetize, Maximize and Market Eyes in the Blogosphere

Everyone wants a successful blog. They want people to read and opine. They like the fact they have a voice and that others may drop by, read and comment.

It’s even better if visitors click on the RSS tab to get updates from your blog. You have to feel proud knowing that your site means something to someone else.

But does your blog make you money? Directly or indirectly does your running commentary do more than satisfy a need to share information?

Surprisingly there are many business blogs that seem to be disconnected from any means of making money. Yes, they supply good information and they have lots of visitors, but the blog owner does very little in the way of moving visitors from casual readers to someone willing to passing along some wealth.

It is relatively easy to link up with Google AdSense www.google.com/adsense and get some PPC ads placed on your blog. If you do it right the ads can generally look like they are part of the text. This is the first “M” of blogging. Monetize your blog. If you have lots of blog visitors have them pay the bills. Use PPC ads to bump up the residual income. Chances are pretty good that they will.

There should always be a call to action in your blog posts – even if that call to action is based on direct links in the bio section of the blog. If you can’t provide a reason your blog readers need to come by and check out your primary site you may need to look at a new line of business. You have something of value – share it. This is the second “M” of blogging. Maximize your blog entries to redirect traffic to someplace where they can make a purchase from you.

Blogs can be fun and funny, serious or political. They can even be intellectual or down to earth. The point of business blogging is to come at the primary topics in a highly focused way. There are sites that will pay you to blog for them. What’s the catch? Well, you will need to be extremely focused on a singular topic. If you can’t stay focused they don’t want you to write for them. This is the third “M” of blogging – market eyes. OK, so I had to try to find something clever and this was a good as it got. Use what you know about marketing and supersize your approach. Key in on a niche subject matter in blogging and approach the topic however you want, just make sure your focus remains on the subject.

There really is a rhyme and reason to blogging. For instance you probably wouldn’t expect to find this article on a blog dedicated to the care of lilies. You came to this site to learn ways to make money online. Use your blog to help you accomplish this task. Use PPC, give a call to action and stay focused.

These are three “M’s” that can provide purpose to your blog and allow it to work for you and not just entertain the masses.
